As the popularity of tattoos are on the rise, we are transforming what was once a very exclusive, male dominated world. Being a woman (or specifically having a female perspective), the position we hold in the industry is a unique experience. With the accessibility of knowledge and supplies, the opportunity to be an artist has grown tremendously, allowing a more diverse platform to use tattooing as an alternative art medium.
The intention of this show was to highlight how being a female tattoo artist has influenced the artists themselves, and how their experiences in the industry have shaped them. A celebration of our growth and influence in the modern tattoo world.
