Tattoo Aftercare

- Leave tattoo wrapped until soonest availability to clean. (Minimum of 1 hour, maximum of 3 hours)

- Wash tattoo gently with non-scented antibacterial hand soap (i.e. Dial, Dove original). Never put new tattoo directly under running water.

- Allow to air dry, or gently pat dry with *paper towel. DO NOT RUB.

*cloth towels are unsanitary and could leave lint/fuzz on skin.

- Apply with clean hands the smallest amount of Ohana Organics Tattoo butter or similar (i.e. Aquaphor, A&D ointment), and massage well into skin.

- Make sure not to have excess of ointment covering the tattoo.

- If using an ointment like Aquaphor or A&D, only use for the first 1-3 days, then switch to any non-scented lotion (i.e. Lubriderm, Eucerin).

- Repeat the washing and moisturizing process morning and night for two weeks.

It is recommended to allow the tattoo to dry out during the day. If it is uncomfortable, you can moisturize a third time mid-day, just be sure to clean the area with a non-scented antibacterial hand soap first.

*If using any type of second skin/recovery/saniderm, leave on for the first 3-5 days, and then follow aftercare as stated above. If any part of the tattoo becomes exposed, or fluid has gotten into/out of the bandage, please remove and follow above aftercare*
