Tattoo Aftercare

- Leave the tattoo wrapped until soonest availability to clean. (Minimum of 1 hour, maximum of 3 hours or otherwise advised)

- Wash your hands before washing your tattoo gently with non-scented hand soap
*Never put a  new tattoo directly under running water.

- Gently pat dry with paper towel* or gauze. DO NOT RUB.
cloth towels are unsanitary and could leave lint/fuzz on skin.

- Apply with clean hands the smallest amount of Ohana Organics Tattoo butter or any non-scented hand lotion, and massage well into the skin.
*Make sure not to have excess lotion covering the tattoo.

- Repeat the washing and moisturizing process morning and night for two weeks.

- DO NOT scratch or pick at the tattoo during the healing process. Allow scabs to fall off naturally.

- Avoid soaking or submerging the tattoo during the healing process.

- Avoid direct sunlight,  after healing use sunscreen on the tattoo if sun exposure is expected.

It is recommended to allow the tattoo to dry out during the day. If it is uncomfortable, you can moisturize a third time mid-day, just be sure to clean the area with a non-scented hand soap first.

*If using any type of second skin/recovery/saniderm, leave on for the first 3-5 days, and then follow aftercare as stated above. If any part of the tattoo becomes exposed, or fluid has gotten into/out of the bandage, please remove and follow above aftercare*
