‘METAL & MACHE’

‘Metal & Mâché’, featuring the works of the late Bruce Friedle, ran from April-June.

A leader in The American Whimsical Folk Art movement, and the originator of the popular mid-century metal sunburst, Bruce Friedle revolutionized the Brutalist Post-War Art scene with his brother, William Friedle. Bruce’s work was honored alongside current and emerging artists working with media ranging from metal, found object, and clay.

We'd like to extend a special thanks to Bruce's family for their generous donations of his remaining, and some never-before-seen, work.
