Fundraiser Flash Event '24
We’re having a fundraiser flash day of endangered species and native plants of Long Island, to raise money for Sweet Briar Nature Center in Smithtown NY! Our good friend Brigette will be back with us for this event, as well as some special ambassador guests from Sweet Briar! Doors open at 11AM, first come first serve!
‘BOUNDLESS’ Opening Reception
Please join us Sunday April 7th for the opening reception for ‘BOUNDLESS’, featuring the works of the students from The Artist’s Studio on the grounds of Chelsea Mansion and the Muttontown Preserve, lead by abstract oil painter Ellen H. Schiff.
All opening receptions are open to the public and free of charge- all ages are welcome!
Jewelry Workshop with Jen Salta
In this two hour workshop, you will choose from a variety of shaped pendants to customize in your own texture and words. Add a gemstone to finish it off!
$50 per ticket includes all materials and a complimentary bubbly drink! (alcohol or non)

CauldronCon - Zine + Small Press Expo
Long Island’s very first CauldronCon! An art market for small press and zine artists. Featuring Carrot Cake Zine, Cauldron of Burgers, Harkonen Comics, Fanboy Will, Shiny Skunk, Smile Comix, Lars Hoglo, Timmy Cronin, and Harrison Newman! Complimentary lattes and espresso by our friends over at Flux Coffee will also be available.
Got a zine yourself? Bring it! Pass them out! Trade it! Here for a good time.
$5 entry at the door - cash/venmo/credit card/apple pay all accepted!
Valentine's Day Flash Event
The Calling Bell’s second flash day! In celebration of all kinds of love, we’ll be having exclusive Valentine’s Day flash designs all day long!
First come first serve, doors open at 11AM
All flash is repeatable
Prices range from $80-$400

Halloween Flash Day!
The Calling Bell’s first ever Flash Day!
We’ll be tattooing exclusive deals on special Halloween flash designs from all our artists and our special guest Anita Heart!
The Flash event starts at 11AM where all designs will be first shown.
Tattoos are done on a first come, first serve basis!
All flash is repeatable- prices range from $100-$400.
Cash is preferred, although we do accept card/apple pay!
Halloween costumes are STRONGLY ENCOURAGED!

Rosaria Bazan Pepe Artist Talk - 'Re-Assembling Pixels in Color'
Rosaria Bazan Pepe will be sharing her process with creating the works for ‘Re-Assembling Pixels in Color’ here at The Calling Bell on the final day of her exhibition.

The Calling Bell folks are attending their first shop trip to York, Pennsylvania for the Second Annual Hocus Poke-Us Tattoo Fest! Join us for 2 full days of Halloween themed tattoos and fun!
Queer Night
A celebration of all things queer! Please join us for a night of fun with art and vendors of the LBGTQA+ community!
$10 cover charge - 15% of proceeds will be donated to the Marsha P. Johnson Institute.
We will also be hosting a clothing swap, so bring whatever unwanted clothes you have! Leftovers will be donated.
Veteran's Skatepark Skate and Photo Event
If you've ever wanted to skate in a local contest OR try your hand at skate photography this event is for you! Actually, if you just love community and fun in the sun, you should check it out too.
We’ll be doing temporary tattoos! All ages are welcome!
digho arts 'PAURA' session 14 show
Please join us for the reception event for Digho Arts ‘PAURA’ Session 14 Group Show on Monday July 17th from 6-8pm! We will be celebrating the women in this group’s stories, processes and inspirations.
Artist Workshop with Jacqueline Ferrante
During this workshop, participants will learn the fundamental techniques of egg tempera painting, an ancient method developed by Italian painters during the Middle Ages and Renaissance.
The workshop will discuss natural pigments and binders, demonstrate the preparation of egg tempera paint, and explore ways of applying the paint. At the end of the workshop participants will make their own painting using this ancient method.
All materials are supplied - no experiences necessary.

‘radici’ is the first exhibition under the new name The Calling Bell, featuring the textile work of Artist Jacqueline Ferrante. This exhibit is on view now until June 24th, 2023.

Halloween Flash Day 2022
All of our artists (plus special guest @artbyanitaheart) drew up Halloween themed designs and took walk-ins all day long. This event was one of our favorites so far and we will definitely be doing it again next year.
Savannah Tattoo Convention
Brittany and Brigette attended the very first Savannah Tattoo Convention. They loved exploring the beautiful city of Savannah, and they had a great weekend taking lots of walk-ups.
Explorer Conference 2022
Brittany and Brigette travelled to Fort Wayne, Indiana for the Explorer Conference. This is a conference for tattooers looking to hone their skills and learn from some of the best people in the industry. They learned a lot and met a ton of great artists.
‘DIALECTIC BROADCASTS’
On Saturday July 23rd we celebrated the opening of our very first solo exhibition, by none other than @infinite_prototype.
The Artist writes - “We are in the aftermath of the digital revolution where the viewer is now both consumer and producer of media. I borrow pieces of consumer culture to weave them into a new language.”
Ribbon Cutting Ceremony
The Huntington Township visited us for our inaugural Chamber ribbon cutting ceremony. There was light refreshments provided by Southdown Coffee, a raffle from Rust & Gold, Elsie Lane, Real Food Real People, & The Gallery @, and of course, a ribbon cutting!
Huntington Art Walk
We were a stop on the Huntington Art Walk, hosted by the Huntington Art Council. We met lots of lovely people, and they got to see our current exhibition, which was our 1st Birthday Party.
1st birthday party
To celebrate our first anniversary, we invited some of our favorite local tattooers to participate in our Birthday Party. The opening night was a blast, and their art was up through July ‘22
Empire State Tattoo Expo
Hosted by Inked NYC, our first convention in our home state. Our entire shop participated, sold merch and prints, took walk-ins and met loads of cool people. We look forward to participating again in the future.
‘METAL & MACHE’
‘Metal & Mâché’, featuring the works of the late Bruce Friedle, ran from April-June.
A leader in The American Whimsical Folk Art movement, and the originator of the popular mid-century metal sunburst, Bruce Friedle revolutionized the Brutalist Post-War Art scene with his brother, William Friedle. Bruce’s work was honored alongside current and emerging artists working with media ranging from metal, found object, and clay.
We'd like to extend a special thanks to Bruce's family for their generous donations of his remaining, and some never-before-seen, work.
‘Empower With Flowers’ Workshop
We lent our space to Hometown Flower Co, who make flower crowns to fundraise for The Retreat- End Domestic Abuse. The fundraiser was very successful and we’re grateful to have been a part of it.
