“This show is an intimate look throughout my life, how I’ve used my art as a means of communication. When I was younger and struggling with body/gender dysmorphia, I couldn’t communicate how I felt verbally.
I used painting to make sense of my distorted view of myself and the world. With woodcuts I dived deeper into my confusion around my gender, feeling that I neither fit into the frame/box of a boy or girl.
My newer work focuses more on coming to understand and accept my gender identity and body.”
